Summer in Strasbourg: a summer interlude
This summer parenthesis will be dedicated to Strasbourg as UNESCO World Book Capital 2024. Join us this year for :
• The "Pages Blanches" installed in Place du Château to read, dream, observe the cathedral and take part in the workshops, readings, shows and festive evenings that will be programmed.
• Olympic spirit: the city will welcome the Olympic and Paralympic torches on June 26 and August 25 respectively, with a festive and sporting program!
• Festivals and open-air events: the Cathedral Illuminations, Docks Malraux, FARSe, sports plains, bandstand, open-air cinema, Arachnima tour, guided tours, Alsatian dance and music, museum exhibitions...

Summer time in the media libraries
- From July 2 to August 31, media library opening times are changing. To plan your visits as well as possible, be sure to consult the timetables and last-minute information before you leave.
- This summer, fill your bags with unlimited books, music and films for 8 weeks throughout the Strasbourg Eurometropole network of media libraries. Find out more on the media library website.
Eating at low prices
A few tips:
- Anti-waste applications as Too Good To Go or Phenix allow you to buy unsold goods from local retailers at great prices.
- You can stop by at the end of the markets or before the bakeries close for bargain prices!
