Events of the City and Eurometropolis of Strasbourg


> 26 Sept. 1pm-2pm: Visit of Strasbourg Cathedral (in French) - registration opens on 19 September

Learn about the history, architecture, legends and anecdotes surrounding this stone jewel.

> Another visit is planned on 28 Sept. from 1 to 2 pm in English!  Registration opens on 21 September

Visits to the buildings in the European quarter are planned for October but you will need to register in September:

Unistra's theme days 

> > 22 Sept. from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Digital culture day - Parvis de la fac de droit.

To find out everything about the challenges and evolution of digital technology through activities and discussions. You will be able to take virtual tours of the city with a VR headset from 2pm and there will be small prizes to be won in connection with the new Strasapp application! (Downloadable from Playstore and Apple store)
> 23 Sept. from 9am to 5pm and 26 Sept. from 9am to 5pm: Unistra Student Association Days - Allée René-Descartes, in front of the Patio building. To discover the student associations and maybe get involved in one of them!
> 27 Sept. from 9 am to 6 pm and 28 Sept. from 9 am to 5 pm: Eco-citizen days - Parvis de la fac de droit. These days will allow you to learn about the issues of citizenship and commitment.
            > 27 Sept: awareness-raising on global issues of citizenship, sustainable development, equality and inclusion.

You will meet members of the City and Eurometropole environment department who will explain to you how to reduce and manage waste, good addresses for food, health, clothes...) There will also be a quiz with a Zero Waste gift to win!

From 2.30 to 4pm, the Climate Agency will present the mobility offer on the territory and explain the upcoming constraints. There will also be a climate wheel with prizes to win!

            > 28 Sept.: awareness of voting, commitment within the university through the role of elected representatives in particular, functioning of the bodies and their roles: The mission participation and commitment of youth will present how you can establish a collective project on civic commitment.

The Solidarity Villages  

During your visit to these two solidarity villages, you will find various stands where you can buy free equipment (books, small electrical appliances, clothes, etc.) thanks to donations from university staff and private individuals, as well as goodies made from recycled tarpaulins by Libre Objet, an association that employs people on subsidised contracts.

> 15 Sept. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Solidarity village on the central campus - Rue Blaise-Pascal, in front of the Studium and Institut Le Bel buildings (cancelled and postponed to a later date)
> Sept. 22 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Solidarity village on the Illkirch campus - Between the Pharmacy library and the pharmaceutical industry educational platform (EASE)

> 29 Sept. 6pm to 10pm: La Guinguette Culturelle
Organised by the Unistra cultural action service, the Guinguette culturelle is an opportunity to discover or rediscover the city's cultural partners and venues, as well as the good deals they offer in an original way in a guinguette spirit! Musical atmosphere and Dj set by Alper Göçer, bar and small catering. You will also be able to leave with numerous prizes: concert tickets, shows, goodies... See you at the People Hostel at the Manufacture des Tabacs.

> Until Sept. 18 sept. : Bibliothèques idéales
The "Bibliothèques idéales" is 3 weekends of activities at the Cité de la Musique et de la Danse, in the Médiathèques, the bookshops and the European Parliament. Free admission. An opportunity to discover, free of charge, emblematic places that are usually closed to the public.

The culinary event of the new school year in Strasbourg with games and animations, all to the beats of the Cool Cats DJs. For the most courageous, a hot sauce contest will take place: registration: inscriptions

> 18 Sept. 11am- 6pm: Guided tour of the Instrumentarium of the Percussions de Strasbourg
This event will allow you to discover the instrumentarium of the Percussions de Strasbourg, with more than 500 instruments, of all families (skins, wood, metals, ...) 

> 24 and 25 sept. :  Expo du vélo

This exhibition proposes bike brands, accessories, cycling clubs and associations, animations, repair workshops, exchanges, speakers, a test track... As well as a bar and food truck area. Entrance fee. You can win tickets on our Instagram page @Strasetudiants, stay tuned! Exhibition Centre, Hall 2

> 15 sept to 2 oct. : Festival Musica
During the Musica festival, you will be able to find around forty events dedicated to musical creation in the halls and emblematic places of Strasbourg and its surroundings.

> 23rd sept. to 2 oct.: Festival européen du film fantastique de Strasbourg
This 15th special anniversary edition invites you to discover previews, new productions, masterclasses and the much awaited meetings with the film teams. A convivial and festive Village will be set up on the Place Saint-Thomas offering a restaurant, musical programme and workshops.  The FEFFS digital section will once again be present at the Shadok.

> Until 25 sept. : Colors Urban Art  2 uniquement les samedis et dimanches 11h-19honly on Saturdays and Sundays 11am-7pm
The 4th edition of the urban art festival proposes this year an indoor and outdoor exhibition and a young public exhibition "On fait le mur? During this event, you will also be able to enjoy a bar and an ephemeral shop and an "Hors les murs" in the Eurometropole and in Sélestat.

> Guided tours of the art trail as part of the Ososphere Festival:

28 Sept. 7pm and 29 Sept. 5pm. : These visits allow visitors to discover the exhibition and then to better appropriate it. They also introduce them to the artistic vision of the Ososphere and the impact of digital art on a city like Strasbourg. The exhibition consists of more than sixty visual and sound works concentrated in the Laiterie district and in various other places in Strasbourg. Guided tour of one hour. > Mediatheques de Strasbourg
> 24 Sept. 1-6pm: I speak a language, borrow me! Event organised as part of the translation festival "D'une langue vers l'autre" Médiathèque André Malraux 1st and 2nd floor. On registration by 20 min slots Programmation
