FOOD AND EQUIPMENT

Think about shopping at markets or directly from local producers, via basket distributions (such as those offered by Campus Vert Strasbourg) or farm sales ("Mangeons local"). There are also shops where you can buy in bulk. And don't hesitate to check out structures that recycle fridges, kettles, telephones, computers... (reuse), such as Envie or the Humanis collective, other solidarity purchases are also possible in Emmaus.

If you need to repair an appliance or change a broken phone screen, you can find a repairer near you on the Répar'acteurs platform!

The University of Strasbourg is organising a solidarity village on campus in September where you will be able to find all sorts of free objects and small equipment (staff donations)! Date and info to come on their website.

AGORAÉ: SOCIAL AND SOLIDARITY GROCERY SHOPS FOR STUDENTS

The Agoraé are social and solidarity grocery shops created by students for students in Strasbourg, located at the back of the Faculty of Law and the La Gallia building, which offer food products at a reduced rate, and even food aid for students in difficulty. The Agoraé also offer preventive actions, awareness-raising on good eating habits and responsible consumption, as well as cultural activities.

Are you a sportsman or woman? Come and visit the eco-store at Place des Halles. You'll find new and second-hand sports equipment at low prices. More info here

The "Jardins de la Montagne Verte" Association offers students the "Solidarity Basket". 
For a fee of 3 euros, they have access to a weekly basket of organic vegetables worth 10 €. To create your basket, click here!

CULTURE - LEISURE - WORKSHOPS

To find out all about the history of Strasbourg, visit the 5e Lieu, which offers short videos and animations with free access, and where you will find the Culture Shop to find out about all the festivals, exhibitions, concerts, open-air events, conferences, visits, shows, cinema, theatre, comedy, dance... and to buy your tickets at the Culture Card rate from Tuesday to Saturday from 11am to 7pm.

On our online agenda or on our social network accounts (facebook, @strasetudiants for twitter & instagram) you can also find a lot of free events offered by the metropolis, the Crous, the University, associations...

CENTRE DE CULTURE NUMÉRIQUE (CCN)

Located on the ground floor of the Atrium building on the University of Strasbourg campus at the Esplanade, this space for discovery, meetings and exchanges on digital uses offers very interesting free events (conferences, workshops, etc.) and a digital spotlight. 

ASSOCIATIVE

To meet new people, get involved, develop new skills (in organisation, communication...) join one of the many local associations, there is something for all tastes and interests in the student world or others.

NATURE IN THE CITY

Follow the nature trails, discovering the urban wildlife or the city's historical heritage thanks to 10 nature walks, or go and meet the remarkable trees of Strasbourg.

You can also take advantage of the parks and gardens in and around Strasbourg, as well as the forests to go for a walk with friends!

TRAVEL

In Strasbourg, the most economical, fun (and sporty too!) way to get around, apart from walking (which is also very pleasant along the quays, in the small streets...), is of course by bike! Lots of useful information on where to buy or repair it here. At the beginning of the school year, there is usually a second-hand bike sale on campus and you can rent a "Vélhop" (bike with a green basket and all the equipment and maintenance included) for 10 months at a very special student rate.
